I am in love with Christine's living room from Bijou & Boheme. She did such a wonderful job pairing all these wonderful items together - I especially love how casually she mixed the famous and quite rare Platner lounge chair with a gorgeous but simple Ikea rug. It makes the place feel more like a home and less like a showroom. Simply brilliant.

If you can afford it, the Knoll Warren Platner lounge chair retails at $4416 USD but you can also keep an eye out on Ebay and if you're lucky score one for a fraction of the price.
Oh thanks so much for the feature on my home- so sweet of you and I did get my Platner chair on Ebay- I think I ended up paying $1600 or so for it so a great deal..they do pop up on there every once and a while and mine was newly reupholsered so great deal. I also got that mirror and votive at Homsense at a big savings- I think the votive was around $30 and the mirror was $350. There are always deals out there and if you piece some high and low, you can end up with something pretty and layered...a bit more interesting to the eye I think. Thanks again for featuring my home- was such a treat to find today! xo
Oh I used to love going to Homesense when I still lived in Canada! Such great finds - especially in high quality kitchenware! Unfortunately here in Australia everything is shipped from far far away and therefore often madly overpriced... At least we have the beach!
It was a pleasure to feature your home - you really did a fabulous job at layering these wonderful items!
ohhh, I think I like that rug more than the arrows, I can't decide! nice
ReplyDeleteI hear you, it's a tough one! Maybe both?
