House Crush: A Bilbao Duplex

It had been a while since my last crush, but yesterday, my heart started fluttering again, over this beautiful duplex in Bilbao, Spain. Most of you would already know I have a real thing for Spanish decor. And I am sure that most of you also would understand why. Spanish magazine Nuevo Estilo consistently feature the most stunning properties and this one is no exception!

I am especially fond of the antique rugs in tints of red and burnt orange against all that fresh white; the mix of clean lines and antiques and oh, the fiddle leaf fig! You just can't go wrong with one of those...

Just around the corner, the owners have played with the mood of the hallway with a dramatic dark-grey wall, large artwork and curiosities mixed with clean lined furniture...

The office is lifted with a wall of floor-to-ceiling box shelves. I love how they've placed artwork inside the boxes, like an organized gallery wall! They were also bold to place the desk in front of the shelves but it totally works.

The kitchen was kept simple and clean-lined but the black ceiling totally makes the room!

The bedroom reflects the colors of the living room in a subtler way...

And finally that bathroom! The grasscloth is simply brilliant in the space... Combined with the oversized tiles, the fittings and sconces it makes the bathroom so elegant! Only in Europe...

What do you all think of the space? Love it or leave it? What are your favorite bits?
