With summer fast approaching, I am longing for long warm nights hanging out in the backyard. The problem being it currently looks like more like a junkyard than a backyard.
M and I have started our backyard revamp plans over the weekend and I am heavily leaning towards reclaimed red brick paving. In herringbone pattern. Couple this with a few rosemary bushes, a couple olive trees, a new barbeque, a black and white awning (or red shade sail), a firepit area, some pot plants, a nice rustic table and iron chairs and most importantly a crushed stone area for playing petanque, I think we've got ourselves a master plan.

What do you think? Yes? No? Have any brilliant ideas for our backyard that you'd like to suggest? I'm all ears!
That shot is HEAVEN and your plans sound great- my backyard is on the roster for next year- our deck is about to fall into the ground...oh how I'd love some herringbone tile!!
