House Crush: An Asian Infused Midcentury-Modern

Well hello there! Ex-model turned decorator Michael DePerno renovated and restored a wonderful midcentury house in the Santa Rosa, California, where he now happily resides with his whippet, Bose and his son, Nova. Believe me, it is well worth a look!

Ladies, stop drooling right now, this man is not on the market for a wife. But I'm sure his perfectly decorated house could have told you that.

I swear these images don't do these colors justice. If you need proof, go get yourself a copy of Elle Decor June 2011. I got mine on the weekend (somewhat late because it takes a while to get to us stranded Australians)!

Imagine the richest most beautiful citrine velvet pillows and chairs, the warmest organic woods, the creamiest of cream lounges, the greenest greenery, the most beautiful charcoal vintage wool rug... you get my drift? This place is stunning.

I love it so much, I am almost willing to forgive the irksome grey and red polka dot dining chairs.

Ahhh, that's better.

This is probably my favorite room. Love the muted tones with the repeat citrine accents.

And better yet, it makes space for the best home office space ever.

The strong Asian elements blend wonderfully with the clean midcentury lines to give the place a timeless Californian feel, don't you think?

The den even has a slight Manhattan vibe.

So, love it or hate it? Please share...
