I can't tell you about the story behind this Madrid house, or its owners, since I don't speak spanish. I can however, tell you that I would move in today and not change anything other than maybe adding a bit of color in the bedroom.
I recently found this one too and almost died...the maroon velvet (and I usually don't even like burgundy)chairs and that amazing fabric on the pillows...gorgeous!!!
Burgundy is dangerously growing on me!! I had never liked it before... It reminded me of the '90s when burgundy and forest green were the norm... EEEeeekk!
