Sara Story is a fascinating woman. Any woman who plays in elephant polo tournaments in Thailand must be at least a little fascinating don’t you think?
You can tell by her house that she really was meant to be a designer. She is truly talented. Her townhouse is in Gramercy Park (in front of the park!) and is combined of a few apartments purchased and joined together over the years. It’s fair to say that in this case, patience (and money) is key!
Her master bedroom “quarters” and dressing room is simply a dream!
She must travel every six weeks as to not get itchy feet... Even if it's "just a weekend in Paris"! I get like that sometimes too... Only I don't have the luxury to actually do it! I suppose I don't travel with two nannies and a "gay posse" (her words, not mine) either! Did I say fascinating?
I love her honesty when she talks about her career changes: “when I was in school finishing [my psychology] degree I was having to do internships in hospitals and work with children who have like, really broken homes and have mental problems and it was so depressing to me and so sad [...] And then I went into marketing and I was sitting one day, looking at spreadsheets and I thought, “I don’t like this!” So I went back to school for design..”
It really proves that you can do many things before finding your niche!
Go read the rest of her interview on NYSD it really is a fun read!

I love her house, its really interesting and unique with an element of glamour!
