House Crush: A stylish couple's Manhattan home

I've been shocking at blogging lately. It happens sometimes. In fact, life happens sometimes and in this case, I would blame it on the weather becoming increasingly sunny and balmy. When it's 35 degrees, the prospect of a day of shopping with the girls, or a dinner out with a great group of friends is just more appealing than sitting at home with my laptop.

To make matters worse, I've been a little underwhelmed by interiors lately. You know, the feeling that you've seen it all before. But today, this house came into my reader inbox as a godsend. And with the sky back to grey and the temp back to 22, I'm ready to write!

First of all, these two are too darn cute! Brooke Cundiff is the epitome of chic, and I would buy every single item in her house! That desk makes me want to scream, and have you spotted the green velvet couch?

Her boyfriend (husband?) Michael Haney sure knows how to dress. A little too much perhaps? Don't get me wrong, it's a great look! I just couldn't picture M (or many other straight guys) in an outfit like this one. Guys usually prefer to walk around in their boxer shorts. So I'm happy when M throws on a nice pair of jeans, a shirt and some decent shoes when we go out (I do most of his clothes picking).

Hello office space! That leather mouse pad is to die for. I've had a tan leather and red fetish lately so this desk with leather and red accessories is making me drool.

Hydrangeas and wine. My kind of people.

More leather and red.

And what a beautiful bedroom! Aren't they sweet?

  1. Wow totally agree. This house is beautiful. Very chic, but very homey too. Not stuffy at all. I'm esp. loving the little reading nook.

And yes I've been feeling the same too. Is it Pinterest's fault? We all see what everyone is seeing and so it's old before it's new.

  2. Erika: It might be Pinterest! Or it might be that we need to get away from our computers a little more! ;)

I guess I'm just looking for new trends or less trends... I've had it with the same old, same old!

  3. That's one of the best Manhattan houses I've ever seen. It seems like they had a wonderful time talking with each other. Who took the pictures?
