All I Want for Christmas: Victoria of Vmac+Cheese

What can I say about Victoria… She is like my sister from another mother. I think something she told me recently best sums it up: “are you sure we're not living in some alternate universe where you are me and i'm you and we just live on the opposite sides of the world?” Uhm yea, I’m pretty sure that’s correct! We’re freakishly similar in some respects and we’re definitely kindred-spirits! 


Victoria is an incredibly talented and driven woman AND she is the nicest most approachable person on the blogosphere. Her blog Vmac + Cheese is chocka-block full of inspiration. If you’re not following her right now, you’re missing out.  It's an honor to present her 2011 Christmas wishlist.

Thanks so much to Gab for having me here today while she enjoys her holiday at home! I'm happy to be sharing my holiday wishlist, which surprisingly enough, was fairly easy to put together. Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I keep a bit of a running list of things I lust after throughout the year! To be fair, this is mostly because this time of year rolls around, and I know there are things I've had my list, but if I don't make a note of it somewhere, I completely forget what they are. Anyone else have this problem?

This year's list reflects both my personal style, and also some hobbies I'm interested in working on. Here it is! My 2011 wishlist:

 

1. I always put a coffee table book or two on my list, and these two are definite musts for me this year.

2. I'd love to get a Bamboo tablet to use with Photoshop...the graphics possibilities are endless!

3. My Canon DSLR is great, but sometimes, it's a bit large and I wish I had a high quality point-and-shoot to throw in my bag and not fuss over. The Panasonic Lumix is amazing because you can switch out the lens and still meter photos, and all at an amazing price!

4. I have had my eye on these faux fur throws from Restoration Hardware. If I don't get one for Christmas, you can bet this will be a present to myself!

5. Totally in love with this blinged-out chunky chain bracelet from J.Crew. 

6. Ok, so I don't actually want Rosetta Stone. I already have some different at-home language learning programs, and I never remember to use them. What I'd really love is a series of French lessons! If I had a class to go to, I have a feeling I'd be a little more serious about it.

7. Last year, I was gifted a 50mm lens for my DSLR and was heartbroken when it broke a few months later. I haven't replaced it yet...maybe second time's a charm? This version looks a bit more robust than my previous.

8. I spotted these amazing Armani boots in store the other day and it was love at first sight. This is what I like to call a "yeah right" gift. As in, yeah right anyone is going to give them to me.

9. More reasonable would be a nice sweater, again from J.Crew (it's my fave, obviously). I'm loving their new "honeycomb" sweaters -- the weave is so pretty!

10. I recently got a whiff of DVF's new perfume, Diane, and it's divine. Nothing beats a pretty bottle of perfume!
