While I'm still in winter mode (and slightly jetlagged mode), please feast your eyes on this wonderful ski lodge in the Italian mountains. You see, apart from being an interiors nerd, I'm a bit of a snowboarding fanatic. When I was back home in Canada over the holidays, I hit the slopes after a dry spell of 3 years. I was nervous I would fall off the chairlift and totally embarrass myself. As it turns out, snowboarding is a bit like bike riding. Once you learn, it's impossible to forget. So off I went down the mountain, music in my ears, wind my hair - the ultimate freedom.
The perfect kitchen to cook up a feast in a big group when you're hungry and tired from a long day of snowboarding. That tile work is making my head spin (in a good way)!
The perfect lounge area to play backgammon, have a few glasses of wine or lay back with a good book.
And what a great cozy bedroom to wake up to in the morning, or to crash into after a long day...

So don't be surprised if I could only dream of spending a week in this gorgeous ski lodge with a group of friends. I would be one happy clam.
Now your turn, what would be your ultimate vacay destination today? X

ReplyDeleteWow- stunning! I don't think I'd ever leave that kitchen! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo amazing. Confession: I've actually never been skiing or snowboarding, and part of me suspects that if I went and stayed in a place like this, I'd just hang back, blast tunes, and cook food for everybody. :)
ReplyDeleteum, we covered the same house! i would really rather be there than freezing my tuckus off in nyc. i almost screamed on tuesday when the wind hit me.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing kitchen island, wow!!
ReplyDeleteAll these images are SO stunning. I am so glad I came across your blog! The outdoor chairs with fur are beautiful and kitchen island.
ReplyDeleteEverone, I think we should organise a blogger meetup in that very lodge!
ReplyDeleteVictoria, I'll teach you the basics of snowboarding and if you decide to give up, I will be more than happy to just pig out on your delish cooking!
The theme is so earthly will all those wood and cloth for the windows. The accessories are really fabulous as well. It matches to an Italian home design my and I have visited lately.
