Holy crap! Seriously guys, have I been living under a rock - or have we all? Kelly Wearstler's home is for sale!

According to Curbed, the 11,300-square-foot Beverly Hills estate hit the market back in October 2010 at $46m. It was price chopped to $39m and now sits at $36m. I did a quick search in my Google Reader archives before posting this - Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Jen covered it in 2010. That's it. And it's been going on for two years!
I know her Coveteur feature is already doing the rounds, but here's a peek at what you could get for that lazy $36m sitting in your bank account.
That gallery wall is next level stuff. I love the textured walls, the charcoal moldings and the murano chandelier. This whole rust and black palette really make the space - and it's perfect for Halloween!

Who wouldn't want to live in a KW designed home? Let's just say that if bloggers had $36m, that house wouldn't have sat on the market for more than 45 minutes. You can see the rest of the house on The Coveteur.
In other news, I'm happy to announce that I'll be a monthly interior contributor on MegBiram.com! I'm incredibly honored to be part of this great initiative alongside my favorite peeps: Naomi, Jamie, Kyle, Beth and Carolina. Also check out Meg's other contributors as I'm sure they are equally fab!
Meg's always been an overachiever and I'm incredibly proud to see her career taking off in such a great way. Pop over to see what's in store for the new site and stay tuned for my first contributor post next Monday.
Happy Halloween!

Wow that house is to die for! If only I had $36 mil lying around!
ReplyDeletewao!!! I had no idea!! So interesting....it will take a movie star or movie producer or something for that kind of money! Insanely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think this is totally the trap that bloggers/home design fanatics fall into. How can you say that this house is to die for- its owned a celebrity designer so that must make it fabulous but to most people its a HORRIBLE eyesore! Rust/charcoal/purple? textured walls?? The stair runner/wallpaper in the foyer? Anyone who spends 36m to buy this will have to spend at least another few million to undue her heinous choices and make it livable for a normal human.
