How To: Pair Pillows and Sofas & a Resolution Update!

My intensive pillow search for my January design resolution inspired my latest post on Meg Biram's blog, where I'm sharing 4 ways to pair pillows according to your sofa style.

You know Mary McDonald's now half-famous quote: "I'm my own worst client"? This definitely happened to me. You'd think that choosing 4 pillows and a throw for a sofa would be pretty easy for someone like me... Wrong. It gave me major anxiety.

I must have photoshopped about 200 pillow combinations and calculated the total price of each and every one before making a decision. And finally a decision was made. And things were purchased. And I'm now awaiting the arrival of this pretty combo below and I'm thrilled. I'll be sharing pictures once everything arrives.

You know how I love mixing high and low? I splurged on the velvet pillows with tape trim knowing that they're timeless and will last me forever and a day. Then, I saved by buying two pillow covers on Etsy (in a gorgeous Schumacher fabric). Finally, I got a pretty great deal with this Greek Key Throw from Furbish

I compromised on one thing only: no piping on the pillows. But for the price, I'd say it's all worth it. And I can always DIY a nice fringe later on.

Products: Two Blossom Velvet Pillow with Amalfi Tangelo Tape (purchased at my friend's shop Beige in Montreal because I get a discount) - Two Schumacher Fergana pillow covers (sold but there are tons of gorgeous options in Liana's shop)! - One Greek Key Throw from Furbish
