I got a request by to do a Looking For post on flush mount and semi-flush mount lighting. I'm not a huge fan of flush mounts normally. I think it may come from the number of flush mounts I've seen in my lifetime with a nice stack of dead flies lurking at the bottom... Is it just me? That being said, they do come in very handy in certain situations. Think low ceilings, narrow hallways...
Let me just say this: flush mounts ain't cheap! Unless you're entirely ok with picking up the first one you see at Home Depot, in which case, what are you doing here? That being said, if you're on a below 100$ budget, Schoolhouse Electric has some really great options!
And you know what, after this exercice, I may have changed my mind. Some of these babies look damn sexy! And please everyone, clean your flush mounts once in a while.
Budget: Sophia Flush Mount | Cypress Semi-Flush Mount | English Hall Flush Mount Lantern
Mid-Range: Starburst Flush Mount | Tole Tent Flush Mount | Seychelles Chandelier
Splurge: Leafy Chandelier | Aurora Leaf Pendant | Petite Emil Stejnar Flush Mount
PS: I'm here to help! If you have a request for a Looking For post, just shoot me a comment or an email.

My pleasure! Glad I could help :)
ReplyDeleteThat's always good news :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post! I'm not a huge fan either (they are used so often, maybe that's why they bore me a bit), but I love your picks! I was thinking of something small for my bedroom & I have major love for the English Hall leafy piece.
