I'm craving simplicity these days. I'm not talking about minimalist simplicity of course, but just a return to natural materials and colors, along with lived-in and unfussy vibe. The kind of vibe you may (and should) get from a shingle beach house in Malibu. Of course I nearly died when I saw this utterly perfect cottage designed by Million Dollar Decorator extraordinaire Jeffrey Alan Marks.
Sure, if it had to be my full time home I'd probably swap some of the seating and tables for more practical (read comfortable) options - but all in all, I love the patina in each object - like every object thrifted in all corners of the world were secretly meant to belong together.
